SR-71A #61-7975 is on display at the March Field Museum at March ARB, near Riverside, CA. This aircraft has the distinction of carrying a rudder from SR-71A #61-7978, which crashed on 20 July 1972 at Kadena AB on the island of Okinawa, Japan. As of 2009, however, the aircraft had been repainted with all markings from #978 removed. Assembly of this aircraft started on 15 March 1966 and its roll out was on 15 December 1966. The first flight of the aircraft was on 13 April 1967. This aircraft ended its career with 2,854 flight hours. Photos from SR-71 Online Archives were taken on 15 July 2004 and 4 August 2009.
